Landscape as a foundation
The landscape of Nala Village was designed by landscape architect Dirk Luijendijk with a clear vision: a return to the source. The park brings the historical bocage landscape of about 150 years ago back to life, featuring species-poor grasslands, field vegetation, orchards, and natural forest edges.
This carefully restored cultural landscape forms the basis for a park where peace, space, and connection with nature are central.
Ecological impact
The park’s design goes beyond aesthetics. By creating ponds and using indigenous planting, it actively contributes to biodiversity restoration.
Protected species, such as the great crested newt, find a suitable habitat here once again. This creates a recreational environment that not only adds value for guests and investors but also has a demonstrable ecological impact.

Nala Village is located in Zutphen, in the Achterhoek, a region where nature and culture converge harmoniously. The bocage landscape and surrounding nature reserves make it a hidden gem. The park is easily accessible for both Dutch and German guests; cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Amersfoort are within easy reach, as are Dortmund, Düsseldorf, and Cologne.
